Our purpose is to collect both new and used academic books and journals and donate them to academic institutions in Bangladesh. We believe this is one of many meaningful ways that expats living abroad can help higher education initiatives.

Resource constraints can curtail institutions' abilities to stock libraries with books of the most recent editions. Limits in telecommunications infrastructure also mean that journals that are available online in the USA are not as readily accessible to students and academics in Bangladesh. Our initiative seeks to successfully address these shortfalls.

We are reaching out to students and professionals in the Greater Boston community and to various institutions in collecting unwanted books and journals in sciences, mathematics, engineering, medicine, social sciences and other disciplines. At the same time we are in contact with various universities in Bangladesh who have expressed an interest in receiving these books. Once we collect a sufficient number, the books will be shipped to our university contacts.
